Going to the doctor's office or hospital can often be a difficult and confusing experience for children and their family members. To make a child's visit to the hospital as pleasant as possible, The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation works to help them have the best experience possible.

The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation is here for our patients. With ongoing support we can continue to provide our services and resources - resources that are essential to the dignity, health and quality of life for the children of Mount Sinai Hospital.

In January 2006 we opened The Zone, a 3,000 square foot state-of-the-art therapeutic play and educational environment for children and families who receive care within the Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai. The Zone was built through contributions from the CCF and the pediatric foundations of Troy Aikman and Garth Brooks.

News:
The most recent project of the Foundation is the renovation of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), which will be followed by the renovation of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).  The new PICU will wed optimum medical technology with a family friendly facility for the most critically ill children.  This will be a 16 bed unit with state-of-the-art equipment and services that will be designed to welcome the parents as a part of the medical team.  Once the PICU has been completed, anticipated in 2008, it is anticipated that the planning will proceed for a new 40 bed NICU.
