The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation
The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation was founded twenty years ago. Every year, the Foundation raises most of its funds primarily through the annual Big Apple Circus Benefit. It is through the generous support and enthusiastic participation of our board members and friends that the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics has become one of New York City's preeminent pediatric care facilities. The Department of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai was founded in 1878, the first pediatric department within a hospital in New York City, and the second in the nation
.

The Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai has nursing care of the highest caliber and support services to meet the special needs of children. The generous support of our friends has enabled the Department of Pediatrics to address the psychosocial concerns of the children, which accompany hospitalization and medical care, while providing top quality care.

An important mission for the Department of Pediatrics is biomedical research. Contributions from the Foundation have significantly enhanced the research efforts of the department which seeks new approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases.

The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation is a 501c (3) non-profit organization. All donations made to The Mount Sinai Children's Center Foundation are tax-deductible.
